Sunderland Minster

Feedback: Across Sunderland congregations and groups took up periods of 24 hours to cover the 10 days of prayer. For this years GDOP, we chose Sunderland Minster Church. The locations importance to the City can be seen in the area of the city it is located in and forms the place where the Bishops, as they came into the city, based themselves. Although we were only around 200 people the actual event was powerful. For the worship section a group representing 3 of the cities congregations lead a very strong and powerful time. We chose to make the event a prayer for the youth and the need to fulfil Mal 4 v 6 as a major focus. This was in addition to a session on Reconciliation and also a prayer time covering specific city issues. The cities Deputy Mayor ask that we pray for the difficult time in Burma which we were able to do. Comments from those attending was that this was the most powerful of the 3 events we have hosted to date.
