Feedback: Around 35 people gathered for the GDOP at Wycliffe URC, Warrington, Cheshire. Times of arm-raising, banner-waving, worship and praise were interspersed with times of prayer and repentance. The Creed and Lord's Prayer were recited by all, followed by the Prayer for the world. Separate prayers for Israel and for the world-wide persecuted church were then said, using prayer prompts and prayer "stations" posted on the walls. A lady minister, who ministers on the streets, then sang a new song of her own to introduce prayer and repentance, focussing on children and the young. This was followed by a sign of peace, then prayers for Warrington and the UK. An appeal re: Hope 08 was made, to encourage people to "come on board". The walls of the church were decorated with children's prayer footprints, produced at St. Matthew's church during the 10 days of prayer; we were asked to produce our own footprint prayers for the children and these were laid at the front of the church. Finally, loud, energetic praise and worship brought the afternoon to a close. Feedback after the event was positive.
